Well, you saw what I wrote, right? How me and a friend "improved" the dialogue? For the choking Padme scene?

I'm talking specifically of fixing flaws in the story and characters. Anakin turning to the dark side because of love doesn't strike me as being consistent to the OT. It's a retcon. A good idea of a retcon, if handled well, but... well, my original take on Anakin as described in the original movies is that of somebody who was serving justice, then got disillusioned and went to the dark side. Sensui's archetype would fit that so well. It also conforms to the "black and white" morality of Star Wars.

Yeah it could be improved. But I thought Winter's diagnosis up to that point with consideration to the strengths of the sequels was just pretty adequate.

I think RLM was on to something when they suggested Citizen Kane as a model for the rise and fall of Anakin.

Something that hasn't specifically been brought up is Hayden Christensen as an actor. For sure people called him a bad actor, but in lieu of that, I just don't think he has a commanding persona in these movies. Obviously if they had more of a young Marlon Brando in there that would be different. But I don't know, make him more handsome and astute or something, just based on what he threw into the film. Doesn't work with his perpetual soft spokenness.
