"Doomcock"
Until it actually happens, I'm not buying it from that source.

I'm sure it'll happen, just like the plethora amount of times Alex Kurtzman was fired.

Any evidence?

As someone who thinks a reboot of Star Wars is coming, this article doesn't provide any evidence to their claim. Right now the rumors of a Star Wars reboot are just that, rumors. That this rumor has spread so far by now and is believed by so many, even defenders of the Disney Era, does I think highlight the ultimate failing of the Disney Sequel Trilogy and the Disney Era as a whole. But a rumor from a source that claims to be getting it's information from other "sources" is something that should be taken with several grains of salt.

Yes, I'm sure their dads who work at Disney are very "reliable" in their information.
I don't care what they speculate, I don't care what their best guesses are and I don't care what they think, if anyone has any common sense regardless of how they feel about The Sequel Trilogy, Kathleen Kennedy or whoever the next bogyman is for Star Wars, they would disregard anything that these people have to say, and I don't care if a broken clock is right twice a day, it's still wrong for the rest of the other 86398 times its supposed to be right!

I don't buy Doomcock on this one. I don't see Disney doing anything that would suggest bersmirchment of Kennedy in any way.
And if they retconned out the DST I think they'd probably run into problems with existing contracts for toys and whatever. Yes, I'm being a little vague, and I don't really know. This is just me guessing.
If they really consider the DST to be underperforming they can just ignore it and set further movies elsewhere or elsewhen, without needlessly enraging people who enjoyed the DST. E.g., the Mandalorian. If a sequel with Han, Luke, and Leia together were possible, maybe, but I don't see that happening even with a CGI Leia.

Re: Jon Favreau to take head of LF
Overlord was the same one to report that they're just going to dump the sequels into SWL, which I find very hard to swallow.
Now granted, Mr. Favreau would be a great company head, but I don't see that being the case. Disney wants a business associate who fills their PC/AA quotient, so it's gotta be a woman. Only way it'll be a male is if it's a minority.

Sorry for the double post, but I also wanted to address this. My forgiveness!
That reboot is not coming until the next ten or fifteen years, since it would confuse the more casual fans, and that's who they're obsessively marketing to. "Star Wars is for kids," they say, yet that implies a lack of critical thinking, so obviously they don't want to excessively befuddle their viewing audience. RN the new EU is doing a patch job, since they've seen how well the old EU worked with the PT. A reboot is not going to take place when TM S2 is coming out, and the HR project is in full swing. Let's see if they can truly build a successful multimedia project that HR is shaping up to be, like the old Lucas management had in spades.Winter wrote: ↑Fri Jul 10, 2020 7:21 pm As someone who thinks a reboot of Star Wars is coming, this article doesn't provide any evidence to their claim.
