Love the use of "Ma-Rey Sue." Though I'm curious if these people would apply Mary Sue to where it belongs when it's a male character? Because I've seen some male Mary Sues.

No, because otherwise Luke and especially Anakin would qualify.

There are male Mary Sues (or Gary / Marty - Sue / Stus).

Luke does not qualify, though he might in certain Legends era stories. In the movies proper he's sufficiently flawed and has a fair amount of struggle and development to go through.

Anakin definitely does NOT qualify since those three movies are built almost entirely around how he goes from a gifted kid to a wangsty young adult who screws up big time and ends up becoming a mass murderer who loses or betrays everything that ever mattered to him.

Galen Malek / Starkiller is probably closer to a Star Wars Marty Stu, right down to being the guy(s) who inspires the Rebellion, although for narrative reasons he has to die before he accomplishes too much.

It's laughable when people try to say Luke was a Stu. He's an annoying brat when we first meet him and the only person who really takes to him right from the start is Obi-wan. He gets his butt handed to him more than once, and has to be saved by others constantly. He has to work hard to be able to use the force, and the first time he faces Vader, Vader just toys with him until he actually manages to land a glancing blow and then cuts his hand off to put a quick end to it. Contrast that with Rey, who is really good at everything right from the start, including using the force later in the same day after she even learned it was a real thing, and is instantly liked by everyone (even the bad guys obsess with her). Oh, and as an added bonus, she is able to understand both Wookie and droid speak right off the bat. Anakin you might argue is a Stu because he's literally "the chosen one," is ridiculously lucky, and also seems to be instantly liked by pretty much everyone (except, ironically, Obi-wan).

Anakin isn't liked instantly by everyone. Padme is mad that they are trusting their mission to Coruscant on this kid, the ENTIRE Jedi Council thinks he is dangerous, Sebulba of course treats him like dirt...Watto and Shmi like him sure, but he is their property / son respectively.

His luck is explainable by the Force (and IS explained by the Force in fact) and he isn't especially lucky in SW terms all things considered anyway- even in TPM, he still has to leave his mother behind, is still was a slave when we met him, still gets noticed by Palpatine...him being The Chosen One does not a Stu make either since that isn't what the trope is about.

Also, with Rey, she was explicitly intended to be a character that young girls can project onto and relate to, and in contrast I'm pretty sure doesn't intend for us to relate too much to this little kid who we all know grows up to be Darth Vader.

It's a land speeder, not a crop duster. He had applied to the Imperial Academy, and was going to go but for his uncle's farm.

And in a line in the briefing he establishes that he shoots an animal of some kind that's about 2 meters long, and from the attack it seems he practiced by flying through "Beggar's Canyon." Remember, he was hoping to go off and join the academy.

Luke and Anakin are not Stu's. A) They both earned their abilities over YEARS of training instead of in a literal week like Rey and B) to say that Anakin - slayer of innocent children, strangler of wife, betrayer of his oath, torturer of prisoners and killer of millions doesn't have a few flaws is frankly the most hilarious thing I have ever heard. Literally, I am not making that up. You could post a Captain Flashheart clip on here right now and I would still laugh less than with what you just wrote.
