How cruel can you guys be to Raffi, Star Trek's best abusive girlfriend racist!hammerofglass wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 11:05 am And that wouldn't work because they already have a barely restrained ball of rage and emotions doing rails in the bathroom.

Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

Out of all of the new characters introduced in Picard she is the one I could not stand.Nobody700 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 6:19 pmHow cruel can you guys be to Raffi, Star Trek's best abusive girlfriend racist!hammerofglass wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 11:05 am And that wouldn't work because they already have a barely restrained ball of rage and emotions doing rails in the bathroom.
Going back to Sela, I do think it would have well suited her if DS9 could have brought her in as a guest star character for the Romulans during the Dominion War. Instead of the one and done Romulans that appeared, she could have been placed there. Her being half human and all that.
I got nothing to say here.

While bashing Raffi is fun, I actually hate Elnor vastly more and consider him the single worst Star Trek main character ever. Worse than Archer, worse than anyone else, Elnor remains the single bane of my existence.McAvoy wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 7:44 pmOut of all of the new characters introduced in Picard she is the one I could not stand.Nobody700 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 6:19 pmHow cruel can you guys be to Raffi, Star Trek's best abusive girlfriend racist!hammerofglass wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 11:05 am And that wouldn't work because they already have a barely restrained ball of rage and emotions doing rails in the bathroom.

Sela being on DS9 woulda been real fun, but only for us. She has no connection to the DS9 crew aside from Worf, and I doubt she and Worf would hang much.

To be fair Dukat on DS9 was fun, but only for us (and maybe Dukat).Nobody700 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 1:58 amWhile bashing Raffi is fun, I actually hate Elnor vastly more and consider him the single worst Star Trek main character ever. Eh, Sela is a fine character and at least a villain with legs.Nobody700 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 6:01 pm Really if they wanted to do anything with this... have Tasha Yar BE in the klingon/romulan commune, she had Sela with a Romulan soldier, and that Sela is someone trying to bring peace between Romulans and the Federation so while she's a Romulan soldier, she is actually an inside agent who is working with Spock secretly.

Chakotay just outright ruined men for her, apparently.

So I'm gonna say it... I think Chakotay on paper is a good match for Voyager-era Seven. Calm, patient, cultured, an expert in multiple fields *rolls dice joke*. All skills you would need dealing with her. And he isn't ugly by any means.
The problem is that Beltran had given up by season 7. Season 3 Chakotay may have been a better match.
