In Arkham City he’s definitely compassionate about Nora. In Arkham Knight he mainly just doesn’t consider Freeze himself a threat, given his dialog with Al at the mission’s conclusion.
In Asylum there is no depth to his companionship issues in a narrative sense, but it isn’t inconsistent with his one man island plot. If anything, his personal issues in Origin are not very arcing to his character development in Knight, as he is still apprehensive to people offering help and it doesn’t give resolution.
