It would be good idea so I am all for having this thread locked. After all there is nothing to be gained by continuing this thread.
Slash is apparently good at making these cringingly masculinic threads and they get like 8 pages within an hour lol. It's harmless fun in my opinion.
Where is the cringe? What page, which posts?

I'm just being exaggerative and it doesn't bother me.

Why?
Well, because the question posed was answered here and in detail here. The thread went on to spiral out into chatter about the European Union somehow. If people wanted to argue about it, they had plenty of time to come up with rebuttals.

So...

This is the quality of people that don't like Discovery. It explains a lot really.

I think such threads give us a fascinating insight into other peoples' minds; specifically the reaction to being confronted by ideas contrary to your world view. Do you debate? Do you run? Do you lose your temper? Do you grab the popcorn? Do you do the 2019 thing and try to have it banned because feelings?

What a fascinating social experiment the internet is - no force on Earth is as capable of building or destroying echo chambers quite like it.

I'm not a fan of STD/DISCO. As Darth would say, don't make assumptions.
