Well, it's not a full-blown beatdown. But it shows we shouldn't underestimate women. And seriously? Bad touching is bad touching.

I do wonder what those that defend behavior like that on internet would say if roles were reversed and it was woman who went all bad touch on man.

I won't lie, if some woman did that, I'd... probably be kinda flattered. Seriously. I know intellectually bad touching is wrong, but... to me, it wouldn't be.

The problem of course is that if i do hate the next Cpt Marvel film for legitimate reasons people like you will still pull the sexism card.
Are they or am I specifically calling you sexist though? I personally feel like I've been trying to anchor it to my own take on it without really getting ahead of myself and presuming others' personal directives, though I might have gotten a bit loud at points.
One gets that vibe, though not necessarily from you, but CmdrKing and Mecha82 specifically and I find that pretty examplary for the discussions at large. You can't talk about Rey being a bad character or Captain Marvel being a shithead, without automatically creating a discussion about sexism, even though those characters being female has nothing to do with the complaint in the first place. Yes, it is that toxic and interestingly not just from those who are indeed sexists, but just as much as from the outrage-crowd of the other spectrum. One side jumps to your defense and the other side takes offense at everything.
I don't think is completely unreasonable to think that today's feminism is why they are shit characters and in the naughties or the 90s someone would have stopped the creatives before putting them out as they are. Fellow creative or a suit.
You know, not that I presume you need it, but for once or twice I will concede to this point.

I don't think of it as fundamentally perverse as a lot of people do, but I get it*.

*That is, unless you're really staunch on it being fundamentally perverse, then by definition I guess I don't really get that :)

I was clearly responding to Mecha given the quote and all...
Oh. Well in that case:

I kind of just watch it over and again in awe.

Ah. Well yes, CmdrKing I would say has made some, hmm, strong inferences.

Somebody copped a feel on my ass when I was at work, I'd deck 'em, man or woman.

Some bitch grabs my crotch like that shitty joke in Wedding Crashers, I'm calling the cops and pressing charges.

Is it sad my fantasy is to have a lady do that to me? For any guy who's upset by it, well, they have every right to feel that way, because it's wrong, and inexcusable. For me, though? Erm... yeah, I'm fucked up, lol.

NO ITS NOT, IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO WANT THAT

Really though it's not as if wanting such type of interaction is exclusive to just guys. What's trying to be stressed though (in Captain Marvel as well) is that there are people that sheerly don't want that, and not that groping is inherently bad. I mean, it's safe to say, I think everyone here can agree, that the context of groping people that don't want it is inherently bad, especially if they are strangers, but that's a little more specific.

Oh right, and he never gropes her in Captain Marvel, but it's in the same line of unwanted attention, verging on harassment.

And it's a man's right to not want that. Exactly. :)
