Thanks clearspira.
Generally I did consider it that way myself even though Discovery, SNW and Picard made it fuzzy at times what we were looking at. Either it was the actual Geneverse we were looking at or a soft reboot of it all. A third timeline. Geneverse, Abrams verse and Discoverse.
Like I said above, I used to follow the two, but they got tiresome. Especially Doomcock. Even though he seems to have a inside knowledge of things at times. Especially when it came to Star Wars during the ST period.
Lower Decks season 5
Re: Lower Decks season 5
I got nothing to say here.
Re: Lower Decks season 5
I dunno about that; I'm honestly left wondering how much could be that, and how much could be Michelle Yeoh appearing in Everything Everywhere All At Once, and now having vastly more options.clearspira wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 10:54 am This could also be why the ''Section 31 series'' is now ''Section 31 the movie'' as that is essentially the same as a cancellation but corporate bullshit meant that it was made anyway.

Also, the only reason SECTION 31 is happening in any capacity is because Michelle Yeoh kept pushing for it. I think CBS had been struggling for awhile to figure out what it should be like as a series or mini-series. Then when Yeoh finally won an Oscar and became much more in demand, that just made it easier for producers to just have it be a film, with the option of making more down the line depending on how well it performs on the platform.

It should be noted that Michelle Yeoh had no interest in Captain Geogiou but absolutely loved being a cougar catsuit wearing evil spy.

Science Fiction is a genre where anything can happen. Just make sure what happens is enjoyable for yourself and your audience.

Still thinking about the finale. I love how much stuff they squeezed into Mariner's voice-over sequence. But then, Lower Decks has always been highly concentrated storytelling.
I've still got a lot of feels about this show. ;-;

Y'know what? Honnestly good for her. I'm still not going to watch it, but if Michelle Yeoh wants to have some fun who am I to feel churlish about it.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 2:59 pm It should be noted that Michelle Yeoh had no interest in Captain Geogiou but absolutely loved being a cougar catsuit wearing evil spy.

I'm still surprised they kept Section 31 PG-13. If you're going to do the gratuitous sex & violence spinoff at least let the actors say fuck.
