Only the fringe nutcases. The reasonable ones were fine. Though to what extent Russian trolling and apathy from on-high as all hell broke less inside his campaign and during the election played a part, who can say. I do wish Mueller would investigate that.
This wasn't even my original point anyway, so much as to point out the stupid argument Sanders voters made that her campaign was literally paying people to vote for her. It's the same thing going into this.
Sanders panders. He offers what sounds politically nice, but is very shallow and has no substance to it in the end. He "spouts" white privilege while having been the beneficiary of a free pass from the media in 2016 (seriously, his baggage did not receive nearly the extent of the coverage "emails" or any of Trump's various scandals did) and from his opponent with eager cheers from the GOP side, hoping to run against him, and at the same time screaming and stamping his feet so loudly he was burning the house down that he was kindly invited into that he did not live in.

And to add more crazy to this: apparently, the ONLY reason the DCEU has been such a failure was that Disney actively sabotaged it through their thousands of dirty critics, effectively assassinating it. Seriously.
Re: The Marvel and Disney Buying the Critics Conspiracy Theory
Kind of reminds me of people making the same claims about "review-bombing" and the like for this film, honestly.

Of the DC films, the ones I liked were Man of Steel and Wonder Woman. I haven't seen Aquaman, Justice League and Suicide Squad were trash though. Batman V Superman was frustratingly mediocre. I don't think DC got review bombed that bad.

I thought Man of Steel was junk, but yeah. I have heard good things about Aquaman, though. And Shazam looks pretty decent, so far.

But honestly, another thing that makes me just shake my head at this idea: Disney doesn't NEED to buy critics. If they want to dominate a genre of film/TV, they can just buy whoever is the best at that genre. They want puppets? Buy The Muppets. They want Sci-Fi? Buy Star Wars. They want Super Heroes? Buy Spider-Man/The X-Men. They can't get Spider-Man/The X-Men? Buy the rest of Marvel and bide their time. THEN make a deal for Spider-Man and buy The X-Men along with a bunch of other stuff as a bonus. You only dope up your team when you can't get the best players in the first place (hey, sports analogies from me, that's rare).

Because most of them didn't have an army at the ready to take over by force... nor a pocketbook thick enough to just BUY the country.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 7:16 pmI think all the big franchises were bought at this point.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 7:10 pm But honestly, another thing that makes me just shake my head at this idea: Disney doesn't NEED to buy critics.
