Season 1 was awesome! It is a seamless blend of action, comedy and drama that is some of the best work DC has ever put into an animated series.
Season 2, I feel like they are trying to do a lot more but with the same budget and run time. It has a lot of neat ideas but does not have time to develop them properly. This last episode is an example; Harley journeys to Apokolips and becomes one of Dark Seid's generals and leads an army of para-demons in an invasion of Gotham City. Sounds awesome, is well executed, again with that blend of comedy, action and drama, but the whole thing is wrapped up in 5 minutes. This does not leave me excited for the final, so much as disappointed that it was resolved so easily. I guess they are setting up something for the final, but right now it feels like a let down.
Which brings up another point, they keep introducing plot threads and then leave them hanging. Where is Riddler? Last we saw him he was on the giant hamster wheel because he realized he was safer with Harley's crew then out on the street. And what happened to Frank and Sy? They seemed to have just vanished into thin air.
I'm not ready to quit the series, but yeah this season is something of a disappointment
