I'll admit, ignoring my own bias ("Credit that you got the idea from Mr. Veitch, ya jerks!"), I really, really like the double subversion to "your parents were nobodies - whoops, your grandfather was Palpatine!" I mean, that's just amazing, and TBH, while it rubs some people the wrong way, I find it kinda hilariously awesome, in a cheesy way, that her father was really a failed Palpatine clone. It's just funny as H, yet it works in the context of DSWC.Meushell wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 4:46 pmWith all the focus on who Rey’s parents are, and then the “they were nobodies” reveal, I had hoped this would happen. It would have been a nice twist that we had focused on the wrong character.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 5:16 am Finn should have been Lando's son, if you're going with a different timeline. That'd be interesting.
Instead, Lando gets a daughter that wasn’t even introduced until the third movie, and the movie doesn’t even acknowledge the relationship. A hint from one scene wasn’t good enough for me.
Yeah, that's what you get from rushing into this, kinda like what they're doing with the DSW TV shows now.
