As penance for undoing the mess that Peter himself created - One More Day done right. If you think that tragedy is due to racism then I don't know what to tell you. Oh, and she's back for the sequel. I predict with 95% certainty that the mind wipe will be undone.
I think, "mind raping my friends as my penace" is more a Doc Ock thing than a Spiderman.

True, but I somehow don't have the impression that this is meaningless to Winter and that this is actually something that bums her.
I'm just saying that I don't judge being super invested in this sort of thing. We all have our quiet obsessions.

I can tell you way too fucking much about Felicia Hardy for example.

Honestly, it's really not that big of a deal for me. Sure I'm not a fan of the ship but I don't hate it. Like I said in another post I'm here mostly to talk about silly things. I would prefer Miles to be with Hailey and Gwen to be with Gloria as I think those are cuter couples.

But if Marvel goes through with it, I'm not going to be to bothered. I would be a bit bummed out but honestly it's not something that keeps me up at night. It's likely that Gwen and Miles will get together in Spider-Verse but if so I won't really care all that much.

Honestly the most serious post I've made on this site is the one that is going over the idiotic backlash of Aloy and Seyka's relationship over at Horizon. This is needlessly idiotic and being driven solely by homophobia. THAT'S a subject that I take seriously as it's one that directly effects me as the people pushing this hate scare me because I know how bad this can get.

Fans against Miles and Gwen is mostly due to Gwen being Peter's dead girlfriend for several years, which creeps some people out because they picture Gwen as being older then Miles because of that even though their the same age and many, like me, feeling that their being paired together solely because their both Spider Themed and are the same age.

People against Aloy and Seyka are against it because they're bigots and wish to punish Aloy for what she is. It's like the 90s all over again.

I'm not a fan of Miles and Gwen but if they do get together it won't bother me, I just wanted to know what everyone else thinks of this pairing. It's a silly thing to take my mind off things that are serious.

I'm kind of annoyed it's just pure homophobia too (as the pettiest reason to be annoyed with fandom bigots). I mean, at the very least, it would have been INTERESTING if people were pissed at because they were shippers of Avad the Sun King and Aloy or Aloy and Erend. But no, it's just hating that Aloy likes girls.

I like Miles and Gwen but I also note that they have some huge issues outside of the Spider-Verse. I do note that at least one alt-Gwen had Miles' kids, though, so there's hope.

I know and I have found a few comments a reviews how are JUST annoyed that Aloy's first love interest isn't Avad or Erend as there is at least room for discussion there. I personally never saw Erend's feelings for Aloy as anything serious and I honestly think it was very one sided and Avad is just, creepy (seriously he made a move on Aloy less then 10 minutes after Ersa's death) but I don't begrudge anyone who was invested in those relationships more then a new character introduced in a DLC.

I feel that there are some issues with the DLC, that's to small, there's not enough side content, you can't access if until after the main story and that many of the side quests are to short. Or that most of the new skills are pretty much worthless or that the outfits aren't as good as they could be or that most of the supporting cast just isn't as fleshed out or as memorable as the one we got in Frozen Wilds.

But frankly I feel that the strengths of the DLC more then make up for it. I think the few skills that the DLC does introduced that are useful are AMAZING and make combat so much more fun. The Specter Gantlet currently ranks as my favorite combat weapon in the series and while smaller then the other maps we've gotten in the series I feel the Burning Shores is the best location in the series as it feels more like a game world and not just a big open world for the sake of being big.

And while I feel that the supporting cast is weak and I personally find the villain to be rather lame I feel it more then makes up for it with Seyka. Seyka adds so much to the game's story and in gameplay. I had more fun fighting beside her then any other character and FW had a LOT of great side characters and companions (not great villains though as I feel the villains in the series have been rather lackluster).

But yeah, if fans were complaining about stuff that I just mentioned that would be fine. I get why so many critics praised the DLC but felt it wasn't as good or as epic as it could have been. But the "Fans" (who likely have never played a single game in their life and if they did they would quite after one hour because they are all idiots with no actual skills outside of making BS using only their mouths) who are giving this DLC Zeros have not brought up a good point and are just stupid idiots who clearly need a life if THIS is what they choose to do with their free time.

It reminds me of the people still throwing a fit over Ellie being gay.

I'm not a big fan of Gwen x Miles, and I really dislike Superman x Wonder Woman. It just seems so lazy, taking the most prominent guy and most prominent girl and slapping them together.

Gwen and Miles as friends works because they both really NEED a friend, Gwen moreso than Miles. All their free time goes into spider work and Gwen outright throws herself into isolation by pushing people away and sabotaging whatever life she might have outside of being a superhero.
