I'd figure the ending would then mean: "The dark side leads to failure unless you can successful watch your back/plot doom". I played both KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 and I liked KOTOR 1 better. BUT I do know of a mod (if you play on the computer) that would add in all of the missing (or most of it) stuff that was still left unfinished by the release date. Now even with the mod, I still KOTOR 1 better.
