From all of the reports that I have heard they are going to make MCU Carol into a version of MCU Tony.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 5:05 pm Carol is one of my all time favorite characters but I think a lot of people miss her subtleties. She's a big Amazonian teddy bear.

It wouldn't be the first time as Tony used to be her comic book AA sponsor.cilantro wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 10:27 pmFrom all of the reports that I have heard they are going to make MCU Carol into a version of MCU Tony.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 5:05 pm Carol is one of my all time favorite characters but I think a lot of people miss her subtleties. Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
I'm out of date with my Carol fandom (I adore her, I'm just not reading comics in general much nowadays, A-Force is all I know of 'Boss of Space' Carol) - does she still have Chewie the cat? Because if they could pop across the lot to wherever JJ's filming and get Peter Mayhew to make a few cat noises, that'd be the best voice cameo ever.
Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
A story that I heard was the showrunner of JJ wanted to use Carol in Season 1 but Marvel told her no. As with the comic side, they tried to make her the center of Civil War II (yes, they had a Civil War II comic book issue) and in the I think that they kind of ruined the character (some were saying that she became a supervillain but not on purpose because of the writing) and they clearly was trying to push for her to be in the center/the "best ever" but I really don't know.MissKittyFantastico wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 12:38 am I'm out of date with my Carol fandom (I adore her, I'm just not reading comics in general much nowadays, A-Force is all I know of 'Boss of Space' Carol) - does she still have Chewie the cat? No, what I am saying is that her personality will be similar to the MCU Tony Stark's personality.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 12:23 amIt wouldn't be the first time as Tony used to be her comic book AA sponsor.cilantro wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 10:27 pmFrom all of the reports that I have heard they are going to make MCU Carol into a version of MCU Tony.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 5:05 pm Carol is one of my all time favorite characters but I think a lot of people miss her subtleties. Also, for some reason, Tony's drinking problem (the MCU was hinting at in Iron Man 1) suddenly went away around the time Disney bought Marvel.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
Carol got the "Tony" role in Civil War 2 where she got the help of a psychic and believed they could prevent supervillain attacks.
It ended up predicting Miles Morales would kill Captain America (who was a Hydra agent but no one knew that) so she went after him.
Ditto the Hulk.
It was out of character but someone has to be the extremist.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
YMMV but people didn't like that she was going around arresting people that did nothing nor was planning on doing nothing. It just got to a point where people were getting turned off by the character.

Yeah but like fans of Iron Man in Civil War, actual fans of Carol don't even consider it a important story for her.

Re: SPOILERS - Avengers
A fairly good rule is that if there's a big modern Marvel crossover you should ignore it because everyone will be out of character and terrible and it'll probably get undone sooner rather than later anyway. (See: A vs X, CW2, I vs X, Avengers Arena).

You don't have to believe it.
You just have to believe Thanos does.
Jesus Christ, he is an evil space monster who leads a mad cult based around herd culling of intelligent life.
Just call him an asshole and do your best to punch in to death before he turns apocalypse into a verb.
