So, you're arguing toxic behavior isn't why nerds are shunned is that it?

In my experience nerds are generally shunned for:
-being socially awkward
-liking things deemed "uncool"
-not liking things deemed "cool"
-any combination of those three

And because of that social awkwardness or being a social pariah for not being in the "in" crowd, the joke has always been there about how nerds can't get laid.

I'm really tired of repeating myself. Look up a few posts to see what I keep asking you for.

While toxic behavior might not be new thing internet and social media has made it more visible with those people having access to platform to use compared to before internet become common and social media become thing. It more shows how pathetic and sad those people are that that is how they choose behave on internet behind they keyboards while pretending to be "alpha males" when they are not that.

Well I'm pretty sure girls have the same barriers to sports fandom more or less as they do nerdom.

Nazi means Nation Socialist. Yet I hardly see anyone going around calling patriots who like social welfare Nazis.
It has always been a derogatory term insinuating backwards minded people.

Anyways involuntary celibate and nerdom are practically synonymous as far as the formal definition of the word.
Which has always been wacky to me because HOLY SHIT do LARPers have sex all the fucking time and it's often looked at as nerdy.

But then again, I've found that the definition of nerd they're talking about is "person who spends 12+ hours daily in front of a glowing screen."

What is nerdom today? What was nerdom 5 years ago? 10 years ago?

I was wondering if anybody would actually bring this up. But is it actually unfair to hold the term accountable for what I'm getting at? To be honest, the formal meaning of it kinda waffled between general geekiness and lack of social skills. Really though, if you're taking it in the direction akin to "what even is a true nerd," then aren't you kinda opening that door yourself?

I don't think it's nerdom itself that changed all that much. As I was saying, it was just mainstream society that became more compatible with nerdom then since mainstream society was more ignorant and arrogant. It's a weird dynamic where nerdom is kinda defined by how estranged it is from mainstream society.

I was though talking about for a moment how like red pillers or gamer gatekeepers are pretty nerdy in the anti-social sense. Like they kind of generated the circumstance for themselves.
