It was weird.

Best comment I've seen is comparing Ahsoka's arc to Nico Robin's in One Piece. Her declaring that she did want to live genuinely felt like the proper culmination of something meaningful along with being something that was actually a question in the first place. Ahsoka's been too closed off, and not been brought anywhere near so low for that same lesson to have anywher near the same impact. Even more so with her coming back as Ahsoka the White which was so on the nose it genuinely took me out of the show.

Yes, it's lovely seeing Hayden Christensen getting served very well, the shots of him flashing into Vader mode, and the live action Clone Wars fanservice is certainly going over gangbusters with many. This is currently a 9.6 on imdb which legit bonkers even considering it's imdb. I just wish it had been used for something more meaningful to the character y'know?

Please don't tell me that they genuinely called her ''Ahsoka the White.'' Its like they actively want the piss ripped out of them at this point.

In regards to Hayden coming back, i've said this before and i'll say it again: the only way forward for this franchise is to FORGET THE SKYWALKERS, THE SOLOS, AND THE PALPATINES. This galaxy continuously feels small and empty because every single thing seems to link back to them in some way. Its b-o-r-i-n-g. No more rememberberries, no more distant relations, no more clones.

Let me tell you what I would do if I had the top job at Lucasfilm: take this story either one thousand years into the past or one thousand years into the future - long before or long after anyone could ever reasonably have any connection whatsoever to these three families.

It's not said out loud, but as her clothing goes from grey to picking up an all white shawl type thing after a near death experience it is incrdibly on the nose what they're doing.

This was actually her outfit at the end or Rebels, they changed her costume back specifically so they could do this.

I have no clue if that makes it better or even worse.

I did watch some Rebels but gave up due to Ezra being so very insufferable. I persevered as occasionally it really was excellent. Maul's final fate especially. It just that 80% of that episode was Ezra bumming around in the desert and being annoying and that focus just drove me away.

I genuinely thought that Sabine being Ahsoka's Padawan was an onscreen arc I missed.

Oh, worse. Definitely worse.

I'm not even 100% sure Ahsoka and Sabine ever actually interacted in Rebels until the very last scene of the last episode. Which had no dialogue.

Shame about where you quit, the Battle of Attolon a few episodes later was my favorite part of the series. Spoilers, but it is where they reestablished Thrawn's EU trait of "the one Imperial who's occasionally allowed to win". Plus I just love it when Star Wars space battles have actual tactics.

Episode six was fun. Everything is better with muppets.

I liked them more before I read a comment that they were hermit crab people cause y'know Ezra's a hermit now.

Thrawn is solid, but I like his number one guy more. He's a chill dude, wears a neat mask, and even offered words of encouragement to Sabine.

That introduction scene for Thrawn the first time Star Wars ever actually made the Empire seem Fascist, there is an actual Cult of Personality around Thrawn that the Emperor never had.

I kind of hope they actually show us the part where Thrawn gets the infodump on who Ahsoka is, just to see his reaction to how contrived it is that he doesn't know her name. Apprentice of the one Republic Jedi he actually knew, founding member of Phoenix Squadron, the original Fulcrum, most powerful member of the Lothal cell who left one episode before he arrived in the sector...
