They weren't kidding, that was Klingon as hell.

Man, if that had a better B plot that could have been another Wej Duj, alas that B plot really didn't do anything for me outside of one great line from Captain Freeman.

I'm annoyed to know that this awesome one-off character K'Elarra is what we get when Mary Chieffo is allowed to have fun with a Klingon Character instead of whatever the hell the writers were going for with L'Relll. Would have livened up season 1 Discovery, that's for sure.

I like her character cause I can understand what she's saying.

The producers of early DISCO and PIC performed us all a great disservice and as the days go on I have found less and less people willing to defend it. It is no coincidence that since then Star Trek has almost exclusively gone a far more faithful and/or fanbait-y route with PIC season 3, LD, SNW and even PRO. I do not understand what the market is meant to be for this Section 31 movie that they keep on threatening to make given how it features a character few like and a version of Section 31 that makes no canonical sense. Ironically, even Trek 2009 and Beyond (screw Into Darkness) felt more faithful to Star Trek than early DISCO and PIC did. The feel, tone, soul - whatever term that you want to use - is so radically different to what has come both before and after that it is astonishing frankly.

I know this seems like another rant on my part about New Trek but I promise that I have a point here. We needed the hopeful future of Star Trek in 2017 and we sure as hell need it now. The future is bright, equal, technicolor, fun. We NEED that message over whatever these shows were trying to sell us.

Hmm... NAH, THE SECTION 31 TRAILER WAS TRULY PEAK AND TOTALLY NOT KURTZMAN VERSION OF THE SUICIDE SQUAD BUT WITHOUT ANY SKILL, TALENT, WRITING ABILITY, OR SELF AWARENESS... like suicide squad!

I agree with most people that the Migleemoo B-plot was weaker, but it wasn't exactly bad.

The thing that bugs me though is that now it's canon that the bird-people in the ST universe are actually called... ugh... "Cloacans."

New episode is so meh I finished it five minutes ago and already forgot most of it. "A good old-fashioned bonking" was pretty funny, though.
