You don't see MCU Netflix fans acting up like that, now do you. No, we just watched one of the greatest series ever made fall in a corporate sinkhole with no promise of return.

After the landfill fire that is The Last Jedi, I've officially run out of damns, shits, fucks, and flying fucks to give. As far as I'm concerned Disney Star Wars is just overly expensive fan faction at best and overly expensive troll fiction at worse. They wasted the potential of Finn and Poe, the two new characters I was actually starting to like. Snoke's a corpse and no one will even remember him. Darth Emo needs to go back to Hot Topic and leave the villainly to someone who isn't a total bitch. General Sux would get curb stomped by Colonel Sanderz from Spaceballs. Even if by some fluke Phasma survived the last film, it's hard to see her as menacing when she's already been defeated and humiliated twice by the guy who used to be her janitor. Vice Admiral Fashion Victim was an all time low and they should be ashamed of themselves for dragging poor Laura Dern into that schlock. And lastly, Mark Hamill hasn't been this humiliated since they turned him into a cockroach in The Guyver.

Fair point but it was probably better than the prequels to that regard.

And video made by some one who you agree with proves what? Besides of what your bias is but we already knew that.

I'd take a minute and watch the video before dismissing it as Yuka's source...
Although personally I thought it was closer to Knights of the Eternal Throne than Dark Empire. Movie Palpatine is a lot closer to Vitiate than to comic Palpatine.

I am sorry. Maybe I am being too harsh towards him. I am just tired after having read same thing over and over again.

It's more like calling out their hypocrisy. And yes, the fan complaints can get out of hand. But at the same time, as I've said over and over, they do this all themselves.

Re: Kathleen Kennedy says there's no source material for Star Wars
I mean, literally saying you have no source material only a month before a highly derivative mish-mash of Dark Empire and Return of the Jedi premiers will absolutely make you look like a hypocrite, which is why they duck the question when asked and give safe political answers. Can fan complaints get out of hand? Yes, sure. The prequels proved that. And Mecha82 seems to hate how far they go, which is fair enough. I still think Kelly Marie Tran has become the new Ahmed Best and Jake Lloyd of this generation. Which hey, I have NOT been among those calling the poor girl a "dumb and drooling autistic jungle retard." That said, Lucasfilm executives only fuel those criticisms they complain about when they pull shit like this, especially given the awful way they have marginalized the older fans, which if stuff like the very poor adaptation (given the limits of technology and money) of Heir to the Empire proves, is 100,000 people, maybe more. There is clearly a market here, and I'm not just talking about adapting source material, mind you. They want something that's popular and sells, okay then. How about a Web series that visually realizes the epic duels of Star Wars Legends? Those you could never see, but had to imagine? Very short films, like the duel on Tython between Darth Bane and the Jedi Masters. Or Obi-Wan vs. Bruck Chun. And because it is a Web series, there's no worrying about continuity that could confuse the larger movie audience. That is smart business, that they don't wanna do! Because it's so unknown, they don't know if it WILL sell. It HAS to be a guaranteed success at this point before they invest in it. I'm telling you such a series would sell like hot cakes, and only increase sales of the older books they are reprinting. So why the hell aren't they? Because the only canon or "Gospel" is their new one, nothing more. It's how they treat theirs as so much better and "respected" than it was under George, when they are not honoring him, ditched him at the first opportunity, and that the story where Luke becomes a bitter old hermit supersedes the older material where he never ran and hide. It's really sad. And this is where my biggest outrage comes from.
