That's where the fun of AI deepfakes comes in. And as he signed his contract before the writers/actors strike which we know had no protections on such things, expect to see him on your screens in the near future. Expect to see many people having their eternal sleep disturbed in the near future.

They've not even confirmed a season 2 yet so that he's unfortunately no longer with us is not the only reason why the lack of resolutions was deeply awkward.

Only thing we know for sure is that Filoni is getting a film to do something with, but I figure that's much more likely going to be covering a Disney Plus characters Avengers style team up against Thrawn than it is going to be about Clone Wars force god silliness in a whole other universe.

They never did explain why Palleon wasn't trapped with Thrawn or where the rest of the Seventh Fleet ended up.

They didn't explain a lot of stuff.

Reception to this one has been weird for me. Kenobi, Boba Fett, and s3 of Mando were all seen fairly universally in the various places I pay attention to as bad to disappointing. I think I'm even more kindly disposed to parts of two of those shows than many of the takes I've seen.

Ignoring the truly awful takes coming from bad places, there's a real mix of this was average at best, to rather disappointing, to this is the best thing to come out of Disney Plus Star Wars by miles, and that it should have been the start of the sequal trilogy. Force Awakens might have been a beat for beat retread of New Hope, but despite it's very real obvious flaws I still like that film more than I liked this series as it was just more fun to watch, and never felt like it was wasting time.

I have to wonder if it's an age thing and I'm just too old to appreciate the levels of fanservice that people who grew up with Clone Wars/Rebels are getting from it. If so that's a shame as Stars Wars used to be in that special place that the best of Doctor Who and Pixar had which was being genuinely for everybody no matter how young or old you are.

This. This is the point as to why so many of these franchises now have fractured fanbases. They used to make these shows for a general audience comprised primarially of families. Nowadays they seem to be aimed exclusively at childless left wing Zoomers best I can tell.

One of the biggest criticisms I've seeen brough forward about this series is, that it treads water. It quite literally changes nothing at all over the course of the series. Thrawn would've returned with or without the interference of the heroes and literally the only change the heroes enacted was, that rather than having Sabine and Ahsoka in the SW-galaxy, we now have Ezra Bridger in the SW-galaxy.

Well, that and everyone being able to attain force powers now. Somehow. Why nobody ever had before or does is beyond any sensible answer that will be brought forward. Imagine a world where Magic is real. There's no cost attached, other than having to learn to feel the world around you and in exchange for a little bit of your time and concentration, you can levitate objects (including yourself, though this hardly ever gets adressed), read minds, influence minds, can be super fast, predict the future, heal wounds and ailments and Force knows what else (including rather mundane things like charging your Smartphone with Force Lightning). And barely anybody does pick up that limitless opportunity...

Midichlorians would be the perfect answer to this. You can try as hard as you like but no midichlorians, no Force powers. Still cannot tell if they have been retconned or not though.

Its kind of funny really. As much as everyone knocked Lucas for that idea, the Force has always been something that was poorly explained as to why no one else was using it. Both ANH from Han and TFA from Rey both seemed to imply that everyone in the galaxy thought it was just a myth. Which was always a dumb idea (especially in Han's case who would have been alive during the Old Republic) that a thousand years of Jedi could be so swiftly forgotten. What that idiot in ANH who got strangled by Vader was thinking I will never know.

And then there was that blind Shaolin monk(?) in Rogue One. It was NEVER explained how he became ''one with the Force'' either. Although he seemed spiritual enough that he could have gotten it the OT way of being enlightened.

Bad writing. Star Wars has always had bad writing. Its just worse now.

People are complaining just as much about the Force suddenly not being an innate physical trait as they did back in the day when suddenly it was an innate physical trait.

When trying to be facetious, at least try to be accurate rather than maliciously misrepresenting facts. Usage of the Force was always an innate physical trait, at least partially inherited through family-lines. The entire point of Luke being so special, special enough for a hidden Jedi to guard him in person was, that he was the son of the possibly strongest Force-user of the time, which nigh-guaranteed Luke being rather powerful himself and being A New Hope. Literally.
