[Spoilers Allowed] God of War 2018

God of War for the PS4.
I am going to be honest....this is the most likable that Kratos has EVER been. I see a man trying to connect with his son, trying to teach him the things he must learn...but also a man afraid of his past and what mark that past might leave on his son. The Boy...so far, seems like a good kid...and I find myself becoming fond of him, and trying to win battles more effectivly so that Kratos will congratulate the boy on a job well done. Also, I enjoy seeing the boy get enemies in a choke hold long enough for me to charge the axe and split their skulls right down the middle.
I've also decided that I LIKE the Leviathan Axe. It took some getting used to, and I'm no where near as proficient with them as I was the old blades of Chaos (yet) but there's something about it that just works....possibly the fact it feels like a fusion of Thor's hammer and Jarnbjorn...and there really is something about using it to split skulls that is immensely satisfying.
Also...the game is gorgeous...I mean seriously...I've got an old school PS4 and even on that system the game just looks amazing...and has plenty to do. I mean you have your main quest but there are plenty of side quests and treasure hunts that provide rewards that feedback into the upgrade system (Trying to get armor infused by fire from Musphelim is going to be a *****), but also give Kratos and Atreus a chance to talk and learn...which is a reward in and of itself. I was so proud of the boy when he finally realized that doing favors for strangers for free was a fools errand.
Ah well, I think I'm about half way through the game...I could speed towards the end...but since this is God of War I am fully expecting to get into a few more fights with gods, giants and whatever other megafauna is wandering the norse lands so I'm taking the boy on a grand tour of every optional boss battle and quest their is until both our powerlevels are over 9999.
