This one's for all of you who remember that that late-90s UPN show that was on the same night as Voyager...

1) Stockpile all the stuff needed to take out the bad guys. After the first episode with Killshot, Gus knows full well the others would show up too and, as their creator, knows their weaknesses. So there's no excuse for him not to go out and stock up while he had the opportunity.

2) Give the baddies some debuffs while they had the chance. Hell, something Jackal himself said hinted at a good one; give them all the same need for sleep that a normal person has.
