Hey. I'm slowly trying to get into the Doctor Who universe. Just wondering if everyone could help me?

Do you want info, or just want to know where to start?

If you're going to start watching it, I'd recommend starting at the soft reboot of 2005. It requires the least amount of backlog knowledge, and will catch you up without too much ahead either.

I'm actually starting in 1963, with Classic Who.

I watched it. I meant discussing stuff besides that. I have a lot of ground to cover. The sheer breadth of the number of missing episodes shocks me.

Ah, well, between that and the SFDebris videos you've already seen, I suspect you'll get all that you need.

I was mostly hoping to share my insights here, and have fellow to help get me a better understanding. For example, I've only seen the first two episodes of the first serial.

I like it. I take it Barbara and Ian are the first traveling companions? I've always heard the Doctor "had" traveling companions, and now I see how - when they were sent back to the time of cavemen. The Doctor's "savage Indian" comment was upsetting, but yeah, yeah, it was another time. Of course, I'm pleased they didn't present the tribe as savages. They seem, at least to my untrained eye, just as normal people.

i always thought the cavemen from that episode were rather shakespearean
