question about requests
question about requests
Not sure where to put this. If we request chuck to review a series and it doesn't have a dvd release or vhs or whatever will he still do it?

Re: question about requests
I'm not sure he's taking requests on series that aren't on his list (which you can see by clicking on the Help Support SF Debris button on the main web site), so it may be academic.
I think series are more of an investment in time for him, because I think he wants to see a lot of the series before doing reviews on any of the episodes. After all, he said he watched a lot of Stargate SG-1 before we saw any reviews on it. So reviewing, for example, The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers, which I've seen suggested in the forums, and which I'd love to see a review on, is probably not going to happen.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: question about requests
If you make posts about it he might see them and may consider reviewing it, if he feels like it.
If you want to actually guarantee a review from him though the best you can do is go over to Patreon and pay him, and even then you'll have to just request a single episode and hope he continues (I'm not sure how many requests a single donation will get you, and that will also depend on how much you pay).
But as to the vis / dvd thing, well I'm sure he would review it if he can find it or if you tell him how to, but if he can't find it online then it's not possible. I guess you COULD ask him if he'd be willing to use still images and he might do it, but it would be an unusual request. He's looked at books in the past though, so you never know.

All this mystery reminds me of the first 5 minutes of the Howard the Duck review.

Re: question about requests
As far as I know, there's a big backlog of movies to review (says on the support page). What DW says about shows sounds about right. Episodes are $50 a pop compared to $175 for a whole movie, but an episode is naturally derivative of an overall show in terms of what you're focusing on.
Anyways, I want to ask about what kind of question this? How is he supposed to watch it otherwise, and otherwise why would he need a physical hard copy for review purposes? It just raises too many questions.

..What mirror universe?
Re: question about requests
I was asking because the whole series is on youtube but there is no offical release and it hasn't been on tv since the 90s. I'm not going to request now was asking for if I do a request down the road.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 4:10 am As far as I know, there's a big backlog of movies to review (says on the support page).
