So...... I just know After Trek being canceled.

I don't know what others feel about this, but it's kinda sad for me, I feel that After Trek is a very rare opportunity to hear the production staff talks about what they think when making the show immediately after it lunch.
Most of the time, we will get those behind the scenes material on dvds or books, several months even years after the show air. So the staff already knows the respond from the veiwers, and the interview usually reflect that, often tried to respond to the praise or criticism. By airing the interview right after the main show, before they can see any viewer's recation, what we get is what I consider as the purest recation from the staff.

That's why I feel kinda sad, no matter how good or bad the main show is, those behind the scenes material was always interesting for me.

It's a sign of how badly the franchise is doing. They really need to stop alienating the older fans in their attempts to branch out to "newer, younger fans," the bastards.

interesting. For all practical purposes After Trek costs $0.00 to produce. Viewer numbers must have been awful for After Trek Season 1.

I have a feeling it's more about keeping the staff from contradicting any excuse they might come up with later. Kind of like the thing about Klingon hair and how Spock was never supposed to be in the show at all.

Their propaganda attempt failed hard because Berg and Harberts are incompetent lying assholes, and Alex Kurtzman has the charisma of a rotten rutabaga so they don't want to let him talk in public.

Yeah, either you end up revealing your production crew as liars, or you let them spout off about idiotic themes and plot points that you could otherwise try to rationalize away or hope was unintentional.
