I have to say I'm sorry I avoided the Titans before this.

It and what I've seen of Doom Patrol are awesome.

I thought Titans was alright. I liked the tone and what they were going for, but the overall season plot wasn't the strongest (on its own), and a bunch of the episodes being character introduction made it feel a bit scattered for me.

But the tone yeah I really liked, and I liked how they dressed up Grayson as a detective. Just like with Gotham I found myself missing a more detective centric theme for the show that they start with but just sorta drop, but being on the run with Starfire was pretty fun.

Maybe that whole initial detective theme is supposed to echo how Batman started out as a more street level crime comics under the brand of Detective Comics proper.

Pilot episode had an appreciable amount of depth with the characters. They episode description says they go up against Mr. Nobody but they don't have any sort of antagonist until the last 5 minutes and it's a cliffhanger sheesh.

After the character intros I found everything quite enjoyable, and the intros did actually help with getting to know the characters rather well.

Coming back to their episode in Titans for the second time, I didn't care much about them, but this pilot did justice for what I liked in that episode.
