Being an enormous Kaiju fan I can't help but do a topic about this, since I feel it will a good franchise (maybe not MCU level, but pretty great)

I'm a bit skeptical of a new King Kong movie after Peter Jackson's self-indulgent remake, but damn if this movie doesn't look good. Really hoping it does well enough at the box office to justify Godzilla v. Kong. Now that's something I really want to see.

I rather liked Jackson's self-indulgent remake. And i found the 2014 American Godzilla rather meh. So I'm not really expecting much from this.

I really hope Skull island better than Peter Jackson, who has way too many ball in the air for absolutely no reason

I did have resetle my expectation for the former though cause I though they were hinting at a much darker apocalypse now movie with the comic con trailer, and while they seem to be some element of it (seriously go to the official website and check the cryptozoology the creature they have there are damn right spooky) and now it look more like Action/adventure with some horror element

I just came back from the movie and though it was pretty great, though I sorta wish it dwell more in the cosmic horror and heart of darkness ideas it seem to tap in

Saw King Kong: SI Friday night and honestly it was a lot better than Godzilla 2014.(Not to say Godzilla 2014 was bad...just a bit slow paced and overly serious.)
