It's a japanese term that either refers to any movie containing nudity, regardless of genre or subject matter or, if used as a specific, japanese porn.

Today old, I guess? I'm vaguely aware of what it's about, so it's possible I've read the term at some point and just forgot it.

You are asking when I heard of pink movies, you know the western name that clearly was adopted by Japanese people to describe the same kind of movies that are present throughout the world. Two words that while logically bastardized to become pronounceable in Japanese, seems kinda culturally insensitive if used by anyone that actually can pronounce it.

Probably somewhere around 3 or 4, the local Red Light District is called the pink district and the word Pink has always been intrinsically connected to prostitution and adult entertainment to me.
