Is it just me, or is she the most TERRIFYING villain in the whole darn series?

Like, I kept thinking we'd get the big reveal, where we find out the inimical force corrupting her, or that she's a changeling, or otherwise throwing off her disguise but...nope!

She's just an EVIL CHILD.

And that she acts so nice and friendly and it just..makes everything worse. She is, at heart, a corruption of the moral core of the show!

She's not corrupted or disguised or even...well, full-grown. She's just some little ankle-biter who, in between nap time and pre-school, decided to take over the world by using love and kindness. She regrets NOTHING. She has ZERO remorse.

And that final moment in the finale, where she said "Wanna be FRIENDS?!" I got goosebumps. o_o

That's what makes her brilliant.

Everyone thought she'd be Queen Chrysalis in disguise but nope! She's just an evil little brat.

I mean, her not being Chrysalis makes sense in hindsight. Chrysalis is a shape-shifter, but not much of an actress. She would have been spotted at the royal wedding easy if most ponies didn't go all "lol she's just a bridezilla".

It's not just you. She's scary. She's not super-powerful like, well, most of the villains faced. She's just a filly with a lot of skill at manipulating other ponies, and the patience to play the long game. She's like some cross between Emperor Palpatine and Shirley Temple.

And she's chillingly good at it; even at the very end, when she's been exposed, exiled to pony Hell (well, MLP Tartarus is less Hell and more Maximum Security Pony Prison), and put in a cage in the place she's been exiled to, it just takes "Wanna be friends?" for me to not be sure if she's really been defeated or not, or if this might just be part of a larger plan.
