Star Wars/MCU crossover?

Seriously, dunno if this has been discussed, so I'm going it now. Do you think we'll see an official Star Wars/MCU crossover? Tbh, I have mixed feelings on this. One is that, it's something new, distinct from Legends, so it's something I'd support for that reason alone, stop being a tired old rehash that's plagiarizing and totally derivative of Legends. But that said... I also feel bitter and frustrated that it's coming on the wake of such poor planning and how they basically rushed out the new Star Wars movies to make a quick buck. It's impossible to say what they were thinking, of course, but more than likely it was, "This is going to be really popular, let's just bank on it." And we see how well that worked out. It's quite an impressive bit of incompetence when you get Legends fanboys, original trilogy fanboys, prequel fanboys, and Luke fanboys as well as most of the new general audiences pissed off at you all in one. I do think an MCU crossover could save the new Star Wars canon, but at the same time... eh. I still feel so anxious over where this is leading in the future. And of course, it means Legends is still never coming back, since once Disney inevitably buys DC and Warner Bros, then we can expect Star Wars/DC/Marvel crossovers. And it's just so... utterly... ugh.

TLJ shat the bed on it's own. It was not plagarized from Legends.
Why would this save anything?
Save Star Wars from you disliking it or rescue the brand? You are not clear on that.

I don't see any sense for them to make crossover between those two franchises considering how different those are. One is science fantasy that takes place long time ago in galaxy far away while other takes place in universe were Earth is rather similar to real world but that universe happens to have superheroes, aliens and all powerful gems from beginning of time. While I like both and I stay positive about both least IMO Star Wars and MCU doesn't mix. Sure there could be ways to do it but still.

Does it mean you don't think they won't try, though? MCU is the hottest property between Star Wars' new brand and the DCEU, and so since Disney owns both, it might be logical for them to try and ride off the MCU's coattails to greater success than they're finding now. It fits into their overall, "We have no plan, we're just winging this" approach.

I could see it... as a non-canon comic or animated work, but not a full-scale canon live-action film.

Indeed. From those comic book would be most likely since comic books have long history with weird crossovers. For example Star Trek and X-Men crossover is actual thing.

Wait, I thought only Legends was non-canon? Sadly, I could see those idiots doing just that. "This is non-canon - in the new canon! Confused yet?!"

I could be mistaken but I had impression that Legends/EU was never canon because George Lucas said so because based on him back then only movies were canon. Logic with that was that Legends/EU material wasn't his vision of SW but vision of those other people.
