So Linkara, of 'Atop the Fourth Wall' fame, along with most of the old Channel Awesome contributors (minus some long retired folks, some non-interested folks, and the... obvious omissions), reunite!... To end up in YET ANOTHER end-of-the-universe-plot in 'A Voice From the Dark': a Lovecraftian (including HP himself... sort of) horror tale of a mansion, a Victorian adventurer, a party gone wrong, and... some VERY bad things. Spoilers and all that.
If you are a fan of the old 'Comedic Reviews with a Plot' days, before all the Hell with The Walkers broke loose, this will be the audio for you.

Given the way Linkara ran the thing I imagine he asked and Chuck probably said "oh god I still have 200 reviews in my cue I just don't have time for an ambitious crossover". I mean can't back that up, he might also have said "working with others steals your soul" but.
Anyway, Lovecraft and Tony Goldmark completely stole every scene they were in, and as is usual for Linkara's storyline stuff (and this definitely resembles that) there's some good ideas and he's very meticulous about anticipating and answering big glaring questions as they come up. It's silly of course, but hey, you knew that going in.

Is Spoony in it?
I hold no ill will towards him. When he was great he was great no question. But nevertheless he is a bit *blank* nowadays...

That was pretty enjoyable. There was a minor bit of contrived inter-personal drama that I felt was not justified by the execution, but the rest of the story was great and most of the acting was quite good.

Nope. I think Doctor Insano gets a mention, but that's it.

I have genuinely never seen a greater waste of talent than him. Given when he started and how popular he was, he could easily have been the equal of AVGN.
