Unpopular sci-fi related opinions

I'll start with one that's going to be VERY controversial, but you kinda expect that from me by now, don't ya? Anyway, while I think it's an overall good movie, I don't actually like Terminator 2 that much. I mean, I like it, I don't LOVE it. It's very overrated. I like Terminator 3 more, even if it's full of more plot holes than swiss cheese, because at least it did something new. Terminator 2 was just The Terminator that made Schwarzenegger what he originally wanted to be, the action hero, and reuses many of the same plot points and situations in T1 that by this time were cliches rather than something new, and throwing in time travel mechanics confusion now instead of the airtight type of stable time loop we had in T1. Even if T3 was stupid, it was something new, showing off the rise of Skynet. Plus T2 really started the trend that led the franchiser to where it is today.

Mass Effect 3 was good even the ending.

Star Wars AND Star Trek are honestly overrated. Not BAD by any means, but not as good as most of the world considers them. Honestly, I prefer them as settings as opposed to most of the actual narratives. Give me the MMOs or the TTRPGs over the main works, any day.

New Battlestar Galatica's ending was pretty good.

I like Mass Effect: Andromeda and think it was a fine installment.

So, at this point I have to ask, are you guys for real or is this just understood as a thread where we throw in unpopular opinions, regardless on if we share them or not?

I have plenty of unpopular opinions and you guys and gals already know once about SW sequels so I try to pick something new. How about this, Dawn of War 2 is more interesting game than Dawn of War 1.

I'm not sure whether I should fight you or not.
'Cause there's nothing wrong with your statement, unless you're implying that Dawn of War 1 was a
bad game, which I'm not sure you're doing.
Tell you what, let's cut the ambiguity and give the masses what they want:
Dawn of War 3 is the best game in the series.

I wasn't implying that DoW1 is bad game because it's not. Just that in my opinion DoW2 is far more interesting game because it's squad based instead of being more traditional RTS with some own things like forcing players to be more aggressive to capture and hold resources.
You really went big with that one since that is one unpopular opinion among DoW fandom.

Yeah I figured. Both 1 and 2 are great games....I've replayed both many times. They both have EXCELLENT voice acting (at least until Soulstorm) which helps a lot.

Sadly, it's not genuine. I don't HATE DoW 3 the way that a lot of people do - it's a perfectly competent game. But it's just....fine. It's not particularly memorable or engaging....it didn't introduce any great characters or conjure up any fantastic visions. If it didn't have the Dawn of War legacy to live up to, then that would probably be enough, but it did....and it failed.
