Okay, while taking a hiatus (and rewatching some older movies), I had this idea, wanted to drop it, to generate discussion.

Which do you think was the most prophetic movie of the 1990s?

I'm gonna say "Enemy of the State." Bet you can all guess that is what I'm watching. :)

That one came to mind, but I couldn't think of too much significance in terms of technology portrayal or fascist society.

Really though the satirical take on nationalism isn't bad.

"The Siege"
After a terrorist attack in New York the city is turned into a police state, torture is used on suspects, and ultimately the FBI has to investigate and arrest military officials who have violated the constitution in an effort to fight terrorism.

A technological power suffers a devastating attack from a less advanced one, launches what they're sure will be a quickly resolved war, and instead gets dragged into an unwinnable quagmire in the desert.

Does kinda sound like the Vietnam war really.

PCU. Rampant, whiny political correctness on campus? This one could have been a documentary.

To be fair PCU has two flaws that makes it not entirely prophetic:

1) Frat Houses aren't completely banned, or the trope of Frat House rape would have disappeared.

2) Reality's political correctness is far more bottom-up than top-down, so the finale is much less probable.
