I have the DVDs, so I'm not at a complete loss, but it is aggravating that the convenience of such things are gone.

Is it moving anywhere?

If I recall correctly Warner (DC) is launching their own streaming service.

Guessing B5 is going to that.

There is a reckoning coming for all of these streaming services. It seems to have escaped their notice that money is finite. Most people with a mortgage, kids, wife and car are not purchasing more than 3 streams and that is being generous - and I greatly doubt that Warner will be one of them.

Exactly my view, the bubble is going to burst sooner rather than later, particularly as more and more content gets gated off.

They all think they'll be the winner.

Which is utterly naïve at best for the catalogs most of these companies have. Disney is one of the few with the cards to back up their bet.

That's pretty much it. They all see dollar signs with the streaming model and figure that even a small cut of the pie will net them more profit than the residuals and fees they collect for having their content on Netflix or Hulu or what have you.

It never occurs to them that this could instead crash the streaming market, leaving that cut absolutely worthless, and force them to go cap-in-hand to the few profitable services to get something for their content, even if they end up getting less from the victorious services than they'd have gotten had they just stayed.

There's probably an element of ego to it as well. Not joining the race and staying loyal to Netflix or Amazon is seen as "leaving money at the table", and perhaps an admission that your content isn't good enough. Although now I'm speculating.

At the very least, i expect Disney+/Hulu and Amazon to survive, the former thanks to its sheer content quantity and the latter because it's tied to Amazon's other services. Being a Prime member lets you stream stuff and it lets you get free 2 day shipping on stuff you buy, IIRC reduced cost access to other services (if not outright access), etc. Netflix has a big library of self-produced material, growing ever larger, but has been digging itself into a hole to fund it. A crash in the market might bring them down too.
