A show based around the Bad Batch after Episode 3 is a good premise for a series and will help bridge the gaps even more, as well as further develop those characters and Echo's reaction to Fives' fate (something I was annoyed they never covered.)
But wait! You mean to tell me they're making a show about a bunch of characters who were only in a few episodes of a cartoon instead of a show focusing on the characters of the ST? But surely the fans are clamoring for more of Rey's perfection, Finn's potential being tossed in the trash in favor of him shouting 'Rey!' and 'Whoo!', Poe being a stereotype who's characterization and history is constantly tossed aside, and First Order villains who are about as competent and threatening as 80's cartoon Cobra!
To be serious, I am both amused by and enjoy the fact that they decided to go back to the PT/OT transition era, rather that try to salvage the ST era and cast, as it shows that no one at Disney has faith in that era.

It should be good enough to make a reasonable show. I look forward to future developments.

More TCW. You know, DC is doing a great job in animating older comic books. I just do not understand why Lucasfilm can't do the same thing. It really has to be about royalties. Why else would they be this obsessed not to? Especially given that Mr. Zahn is one of the few among the old guard to work there, and they won't stop riding Thrawn as perhaps the sole EU character to salvage back to DC. Well, with the exception of perhaps Darth Bane, but I don't count that, since it was originally Mr. Lucas's idea and Mr. Filoni has shown no regard for the older lore before.
