The Strange Paradox of the Fett's

You want to know something weird, the Mandalorians of the Star Wars Universe are based completely around the characters Boba Fett and his father Jango Fett. Everything that was used to develop and create the culture of the Mandalorians is based on these two characters. The look, the weapons, the helmets are all the result of these two who, in the movies, are just a couple of skilled Bounty Hunters who just happened to be hired by the Villains of the films.
And yet, despite being at the heart of the creation of the Mandalorians out of universe (with the Mandalorians themselves now being just as much a part of Star Wars lore and Mythos as the Jedi, Sith and the Force is) in Universe it's made clear that neither Boba or Jango are actually Mandalorians. And this wasn't something that was retconned in the Disney Era this was something that was established back in The Clone Wars during the Lucas Era and even before that in Jango's tie-in comics, games and novels made a point that Jango wasn't born into the Mandalorian culture but was instead adopted by them and later broke off from them all together.
And in later Boba Fett tie-ins once Jango's origin was revealed Boba was also revealed to have never truly have joined the Mandalorians even though he was still considered to be one of the highest ranking members of said culture.
And that's the paradox. Out of Universe these two are the reason that the Mandalorians even exist and yet in universe the series itself has gone out of its way to make clear that the Fett's have never been part of the Mandalorians. Funny little world we live in isn't it.
