The Issue with Combining Revenge of the Sith and the Series Finally of The Clone Wars

Many of you are likely aware that there are a number of fan edits that combine the film Revenge of the Sith with the last 4 episodes of The Clone Wars with many saying that doing greatly improved both stories. In my opinion that true of the first half after Order 66 comes in the story actually runs into a few massive narrative issues the first of which being how long it takes for Ahsoka's ship to crash.
In the movie Inception in order to wake everyone up one of the characters drive the car his driving in the dream into the nearby River but because time moves slower depending on what level your dreaming at the decent is slower from the perceptive of the other characters so it takes half the film to fall. The problem is it takes half the film to fall and I can remember the audience laughing when the film kept cutting back to the falling van and I'm not sure that's what Nolan intended.
And in this edit that's certainly not what was intended as my sister and I found ourselves laughing every time we cut from what was happening with Anakin, Obi-Wan and Padme only to see that yes, Ahsoka's ship was still falling towards a planet. In the show itself this slow decent works as it helps build suspense and while we know that all the named characters are going to live it's still an engaging scene because you're not sure HOW they're going to survive.
But combining it with what's happening with Revenge it undercuts that tension and makes it rather comedic which undercuts both what's happening with Ahsoka, Rex and Maul but also undercuts what's going on in Revenge too.
Also, because of how both stories are written as soon as we get to the second half because they are no longer connected AND we have the fight between Yoda and Palpatine it makes it harder to follow what's going on as the stories begin to step on each others toes. This isn't a problem in the first half because everything in both stories are working to their own respective climax so as we cut between the different events we're able to follow along and everything moves are roughly the same pace until the Clone Wars is finally resolved.
But because the pacing in the second half is much slower for both stories it feels like everything takes to long to get to the point which hurts both stories.
And finally there's the ending. Both endings are fantastic but don't really tie into each other that well. Revenge actually cut out Yoda arriving on Dagobah because Lucas felt it didn't really mash with the rest of the ending which was mostly about the Skywalker family. We had Padme's funeral, Vader watching over the construction of the first Death Star with Palpatine, Leia being brought to Alderaan and Luke being brought to Tatooine.
Ahsoka's ending is her and Rex burying the clone troopers who died in the crash which then time skips to some time later where Vader finds the crash site, finds Ahsoka's lightsaber before leaving. Both are great tragic endings but I don't think they don't really work together.
Still others really seem to enjoy the two combined and both are still great in their own right that bring the Clone Wars Saga to a fantastic end and I'm glad both exist.
