Released in 1998, Invasion America is a Sci-fi series about aliens trying to invade Earth, specifically North America... as the name of the show implies. Created by Steven Spielberg & Harve Bennett and featuring a rather impressive cast the series has political intrigue, pretty solid animation and one or two rather clever twists an turns. It was one of the shows that worked to show that Animation could be aimed at an older audience as it can get GRAPHIC at times, more on that in a bit. So, has anyone here seen it and those who have do you remember seeing it?

I have to admit for someone who remembers every minor detail of the Mighty Morpin Power Rangers 5 part arc Green With Evil I can only recall Two scenes in this movie and both tie into the rather graphic nature of the film. See, it's established earlier in the show that if anyone but the true heir of the alien Empire wears a glove that signifies that they are the leader of said world the glove will crush their hand. And later, we see this happen. And the animation, the voice acting the Sound, Dear God the SOUND, of this character's hand getting crushed gave me Nightmares for a week.

But I can't recall anything else about this show besides those two scenes. I can recall a number of major and minor bits about the animated series Roswell Conspiracies: Aliens, Myths and Legends (which has a similar animation style to IA) I can recall the entire plot of the last episode of the First Season of Power Rangers and I can recall every plot point and character arc from the Escaflowne MANGA series which has NOTHING in common with the Anime besides the characters names.

So, has anyone seen Invasion America and if so, do you remember seeing it?

I recall the big hype about it before it came out, then it went without much impact to me. Fox, IIRC, played up the behind the scenes and other hype shows about it months before it came out.

Think I saw the first part and wasn't that impressed, but I don't really like "Aliens Infiltrating Earth" sci-fi. Even my love of the X-Files is squarely around the monster of the week episodes and I'd skip reruns of the mythology ones as a kid.

I had to look it up because it sounded familiar. But oddly I don't think I saw it when it came out. I think a friend had the series on disc and we watched it that way.

I taped it at the time, because I taped lots of things and it looked interesting.

It was fine as a miniseries, but since it didn't get picked up for a second season and really went nowhere, well...

I remember literally nothing about it and I've seen it a couple times.
