I know the name of the series is the Nemesis Series but I think Dreadnought makes more sense given that it's Danny's story and she is the character we follow the most. But in all honesty, what if Disney made a deal with Daniels and her publisher to buy her superhero series and have Danny join the Marvel Universe and, by extension, the MCU?
There aren't many Transgender the Super Hero Genre and I honestly can't think of any that exist in either Marvel or DC let alone one that has a series dedicated to them. Dreadnought is, IMO, a really great story and Danny's journey is one that is as fleshed out and as compelling as Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man and Captain America and I for one would love to see one of the big two have her join their series. Though, personally, I think Danny would work better in Marvel given her overall character would, IMO, work better in the Marvel Universe given how human Danny is.
Also, between the two, Disney would be more likely to buy the series given how far it's falling behind on LGBT representation (Sony's The Mitchells vs. The Machines is the first Block Buster made by a major studio to have a lesbian as the main protagonist AND confirms her as gay in the film itself) so bringing in Danny, a transgirl whom being transgender is a Major Part of her story, with a story that's well written and has been well received is something Disney might want to get in on.
Thoughts?
P.S. My pick to play Danny would be Hunter Schafer as she would not only looks the part but she's a great actor (as shown in Euphoria), is trans herself and has already stared alongside the MCU's Zendaya aka MJ from the Spider-Man series so it would be nice to see these two interact again as different characters.

Oh, I loved this book.
I did a review for it awhile ago:

April is a real sweetie.
But there is a very prominent trans superheroine in the CW verse with Dream Girl.

True but she's a secondary character, not the lead in her own series. I'm glad that DC has a trans character who is played by a trans actor but there really should be more and Danny is already pretty well known so I don't see why both DC and Marvel can't both make a push for more trans characters.CharlesPhipps wrote: ↑Fri May 14, 2021 10:16 pm Oh, I loved this book.
