I'm mildly excited, I like Cavill, and I've been thinking, a Highlander reboot where the gathering doesn't happen at the end and more concrete foundation is set for the rules of immortals (why fighting on holy ground is a no-no for instance) could lead to an interesting medieval franchise that turns to modern fantasy. I know, my hopes are way too high right now, but I need some any potential good news right now since Kentaro Miura, the creator of Berserk, died recently.

Lets be honest, first film aside, the Highlander franchise sucks. Noah Antwilers review of Highlander the Source is still an example of how good that guy was when on form.

It's ripe for a reboot. Highlander 2 was already a reboot in all but name anyway.

The guy was already Superman, Geralt the Witcher, Sherlock Holmes and now the Highlander.

What next, James Bond?

There are talks about it. I think he lost out to Daniel Craig long ago too. I think he may have been to young at the time. I might be wrong with this.

His next roles will be the reboot of Indiana Jones, the re-reboot of Trek with him as Kirk, Terminator, Robocop.

Rare instance in which I agree with clearspira without caveat. What an odd day.

I will add to the conversation my "Highlander 2" conspiracy theory.
I think Highlander 2 was a reworked "Doctor Who" script.
I will run it down,

1) starting off on Gallifrey, the Doctor teams with another rogue timelord to overthrow the government. They are captured.
2) The Doctor is imprisoned on Earth, his home away from home without means of escape and told that the planet will suffer solar calamity in a few short years.
3) The Doctor trapped on Earth helps save the planet he loves with a solar shield, but is then cast aside by the corrupt government.
4) Time Lords now aware of how the Doctor has saved the Earth and is living out there decide to make his presence known to his rogues gallery who send some goons to kill him... during this confrontation he is killed and regenerates into a younger self.
5) His partner in crime from the initial "let's overthrow the government" opening arrives on EArth looking for the Doctor.
6) Doctor, new companion, and Rogue Time Lord team up to fight the evil corporation... the corporation now teamed with a vengeful timelord who has come to Earth to fuck with the Doctor.
7) confrontation comes to a head, the Evil time lord is defeated, the shield around earth is lowered, and the corporation is no more.
8) The Doctor now leaves the planet with his new companion.

That it the plot to "Highlander 2" but with Doctor Who shit in there.

No, but he DID play Napoleon Solo, once.

And he was great in that movie.
