A Disney Park Ride Idea: The Return of the Great Movie Ride

I get why some rides are decommissioned, either because the ride is outdated, has become unsafe or because the mini coral reef you created died and was not really a great idea to begin with. The Great Movie Ride had been a slow decline over the years so it makes sense that Disney would replace it but I don't think the ride we got in it's place was in anyway an improvement.
Mickey's Runaway Railway, from what I've gathered, hasn't been well recieved with the most positive review calling it "a perfectly acceptable dark ride for the modern age" said review also made a point of calling the animatronics lackluster, the trackless ride underutilized and called the story chaotic-but-unmemorable. And the thing of it is there was an opportunity here to make a great ride by simply revamping the Great Movie Ride.
Still have it be a trackless ride BUT mix in slower and faster moments because TGMR had action in it but it was rather lackluster as time went on. But imagine, we're taken on an adventure that will take us through some of the greatest movies in history (that is under ownership of Disney or partners of Disney) which includes many of the films that were included in the original ride like Alien (which is part of the ride that slows down in order to build up the suspense) Indiana Jones (being a more fast paced part of the ride to reflect the action/adventure elements of Indy's series) the Wizard of Oz (another slowed down part of the ride to reflect the wonder) and some more modern films like some of the Marvel Films, Frozen and even some Studio Ghibli films like Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke.
One thing I like about the new Ride Rise of the Resistance is how it mixes different ride elements together along some old yet updated tech like animatronics and new tech like story screens using the same trackless system from Mickey's Runaway Railway and topping it off with a Tower of Terror like drop system. Combined with a fun story and you have an instant classic that will likely stick around for years to come.
I wish more rides would take after ROTR instead of giving us these lackluster rides that are just not as memorable as the some of the originals. So, I would like The Great Movie Ride to return BUT with upgrades, give us some new animatronics, use the nature of each film to set the pace of each part of the ride and end on that EPIC closing scene that takes us through the history of films from the black and white era to the modern era.
Thoughts?
