As a fan of the comic book character, this is a fantastic adaptation. Do I regret that she's lost her Mr. Fantastic powers? Yes.
However, the character relationships are perfect.
The Peter Parker energy is powerful here but that is Ms. Marvel.

I do hope that they will reveal the powers are a part of her, and the bracelet just activated them.

There's a certain level of humor to the fact that skimpily dressed superheroines was never a thing in the world but the mother is panicking about it anyway. I wonder if that means Tony Stark's dancers and Captain America's backup girls are the origin of the issue (and presumably other merchandising).
Either way, I really enjoyed the Spider-Man energy of the whole thing.

I've got a feeling that your opinion on what constitutes ''skimpily dressed'' and a what a traditional Muslim family (or even conservative Christian family) would consider to be ''skimpily dressed'' are two very different things.
Black Widow's ''skintight catsuit with zip halfway down'' ensemble is not really something you are likely to see on the streets of Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan any time soon.

Exactly there was a new X-men comic several years ago where the characters of Dust and Surge got into an argument about this.

By the standards of Saudi Arabia or Afganistan, having the face be visible is shockingly underdressed for women.
I don't think we need to take their opinions into account, here.

It was kind of hilarious when Dust and Ms. Marvel met with the latter really trying not to offend the crazy religious fanatic (to her).

I think that is letting off Ms Marvel's parents too easily. They may not be of the ''dress women up like beekeepers'' camp, just as many Christians are not members of the Westboro Baptist church. Doesn't mean that there isn't overlap. The hijab for example. It is worn for modesty. It would be pretty hypocritical to wear a hijab and a catsuit together yes?

Westboro is a tiny, crazy faction. Hijabs and burqas are mandatory for vast swaths of the Muslim world. Entire nations are subject to them.
False comparison.

I hope the show does well with audiences, not just because I like the character but because Kamala's actress Iman Vellani comes across as very enthusiastic in the behind the scenes promos.
