Quick Question, What's Everyone's Opinion on Miles and Gwen as a Romantic Pairing

I've never been a big fan of the Superman and Wonder Woman ship. Like even when I was a kid I was never invested in the idea of the two being together in a romantic sense and that opinion often seems to be reflected with most fans and writers and I think the reason for that is simple.
The reason that some creators pair up Clark and Diana was down to one simple reason, he's the strongest man in DC and she's the strongest woman ergo they must be together. Not to say that the pair can never work but for the most part the reason for this pairing is often shallow and their interest in each other comes off as hollow. And the stories where it does work are few and far between with really only ONE good story about the two as a couple, that being the critical darling Kingdom Come. However, most of the time it's just not interesting and seems to undermine the characters instead of help them.
I bring that up because I feel the same way about Miles and Spider-Gwen. They seem to only be paired up because he's a Spider-Man, she's a Spider-Woman, they're about the same age so let's have them hook up. From what I understand writers for the comics have been desperately trying to get Miles and Gwen to hook up with literally anyone else and to stir attention away from this pairing with only the Spider-Verse series being the sol exception.
I've never been a fan of this pairing and it seems that most of the fanbase is in agreement with me on this along with most writers. Even after the highly popular Into the Spider-Verse film which teased at a romantic relationship interest in the ship never really seemed to go anywhere and most fans just want them to remain friends. Indeed the most popular characters to pair Miles and Gwen with is Hailey for Miles and Gloria Grant and MJ or Gwen from her own continuity.
I went over to Archive of Our Own just to check and yeah, these two aren't even in the top 50 of most popular couples to write about. Even on the Spider-Verse page there's more fan fics about Peter and Miles (mostly father and son type stories) then there are about Miles and Gwen.
And apparently the ship took a further noise dive in popularity after the recent Spider-Verse film. Despite the film's overall popularity most seem to agree that the Miles and Gwen romance wasn't all that interesting and again most where more interested in seeing them as just friends.
This is honestly rather interesting as I was certain that due to the film's popularity that the Miles and Gwen would be given greater focus both from fans and in comics but no, its barely changed from when it was first hinted at.
To go back to the Superman/Wonder Woman ship DC decided to go all in on this pairing and made it canon during the New 52. They got together and stayed together for a solid 2 or 3 years I think and fans HATED it. Even fans who were on board quickly grew either bored or annoyed by it and many were flat out demanding DC have Clark get back together with Lois and Diana to be with Steve or Batman or Cheetah or Etta Candy or literally anyone who wasn't Clark Kent. And this was in the hugely unpopular N52 and it took DC 5 years, a spin-off, a Event Comic Tie-in and another reboot to take the hint that fans WANTED Lois and Clark as a couple, not Clark and Diana.
I wonder if the same thing it going to happen here cause the reception to Miles and Gwen is so amazingly bland even when the films that are pushing for it the most are seen as some of the best Marvel films ever made and the general reception to the main romantic pairing of the films is, "Eh, I prefer them as friends."
But what do you think? Are you in favor of Miles and Gwen or do, like me, just not all that interested in them as a couple?
