Good Omens season two

This was an absolute delight of a season. Definitely a different tone than the first one, and without a book to adapt they basically just gave up on having anything to focus on beyond the neurotic angel and his supportive demon boyfriend. Owl House and She-ra fans on the forum especially I highly recommend it to.

I think Gaiman took conservatives going after his work for the queer content for the last couple years as a dare, the only cis straight couple in this who are more than glorified extras are Job and his wife.

Crowley and Aziraphale were what made the first series worth watching (two actors who really gelled there), so I'm a bit apprehensive if they've moved away from concentrating on what worked.

Without the book have they at least managed to avoid all the rather hamfisted narration from the first series? Just quoting passages from the book via (quite a lot of) narration was the worst bit of the writing IMO.

No narration, no human side plots other than the ones the leads stick their noses into. It's the Aziraphale and Crowly show pure and simple.

The first scene is a meet cute about thirty seconds before anyone says "let there be light" and it just kind of keeps in that tone for six episodes. Including the Nazi zombie episode.
