Dragon Age: Why Sera annoys Good-aligned Players

I think Sera is a fantastic Deconstruction of a lot of players ideology about Dragon Age because Sera's ideology isn't elvish.

It's human.

If you changed Sera's race from elf to human then she has the same beliefs as 99% of every other Thedan: Andrastrian, annoyed at Elves, suspicious of mages, hostile to the nobility but not actually to the point of wanting them overthrown.

Basically, after always serving you a bunch of plucky underdogs and noble oppressed minorities, you finally get a view of how the common people are in Thedas.

And it turns out they're not really about your desire to liberate them.
