The Marvel Cinematic Universe (A.k.A. The MCU)
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (A.k.A. The MCU)
Okay, so I have been looking for the thread about the Marvel Cinematic Universe (also known as The MCU) but I couldn't find it. So I would like to make this thread into the one thread about all things Marvel Studios and Marvel TV.

I was hoping they will take the Inhumans tv series seriously. Based on the trailer the cinema premier idea is laughable. So many other movies i wish would have a cinema release instead of that stuff.

Well, I have a "wait and see" approach towards Inhumans. I know that they are still working on this thing with putting in more effects, etc... into the work but I have noticed on Reddit that some people actually do want this show to fail. Some think that the failing could lead to a movie and/or they just hate Scott Buck.

Inhumans looks like it's going to be a "love it or hate it" type of show. I'll probably wait a while before deciding to check it out.

Does Feige have anything to do with Inhumans?
Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe (A.k.A. The MCU)
I am a little apprehensive about the Inhumans. They were trying to introduce them in Agents of Shield and totally abandon the concept in Season 4. They always seemed a weak concept of "Mutants" in the MCU since they can't use them. I do like the Netflix series from MCU. I am gonna binge watch "The Defenders" here soon.

Yeah, there is a story that goes something like this.....Agent Vinod wrote:Does Feige have anything to do with Inhumans?
After what one source describes as "several years of frustration," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has pulled off a reorganization of the vaunted film company that has him reporting to Disney studio chief Alan Horn as opposed to the infamously micromanaging Marvel Entertainment CEO Isaac "Ike" Perlmutter.
Feige, the architect of Marvel's transition from a flailing comic book company into a film powerhouse that was sold to Disney for $4 billion in 2009, is said to have vented his unhappiness to Horn and Disney CEO Bob Iger earlier this summer. The reorganization was put into effect last week, according to sources.

Which led to Feige being in control of the movie division and then dropping the plans for the upcoming Inhumans. The Inhumans was quickly made into a TV show that will be filmed in IMAX.
https://www.theverge.com/2016/11/15/136 ... e-imax-abcMarvel’s Inhuman characters are officially moving to TV. Instead of the originally planned movie, Marvel announced yesterday that the company has greenlit an Inhumans TV show that will debut in theaters for a limited two-week run through a new partnership with IMAX. The agreement also includes IMAX helping to finance the development of the pilot and series, a first for the company.
The newly minted Inhumans series is scheduled to air on ABC in 2017, and will focus on the core characters from the Inhumans comic books: the Attilan Royal Family, a group that includes characters like Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, and Lockjaw.
Re: The Marvel Cinematic Universe (A.k.A. The MCU)
The Inhumans were always to me see to be a "replacement" for the X-Men and even on Agents of SHIELD they were X-Men copies (very shallow copies, btw) where they would loosely adapt X-Men stories and this past season it seems that they were trying to loosely adapt House of M with the Framework.lsgreg wrote:I am a little apprehensive about the Inhumans. Yes, they're pretty obviously being used as stand-ins for mutants, though understandably since the X-Men rights aren't available for the MCU.

In my opinion, it isn't working when it gets boiled down to the nitty gritty of things. Inhumans' history in the comics has been about Xenophobia and other cultures while Mutants have been about Civil Rights. But when they are trying to make the Inhumans about Civil Rights, IMO, it's not working. At least for me, personally and in my opinion, it seems that AoS has ripped off a bunch of X-Men stories and try making them about Inhumans and/or their main characters (and I would say that this has been happing for at least for the past two seasons). The Romulan Republic wrote:Yes, they're pretty obviously being used as stand-ins for mutants, though understandably since the X-Men rights aren't available for the MCU.
