For me, I'd love a Bloodlines-esque adaptation of the Dresden Files.

Star Control.

Star Control Origins was fine, but did play in an alternate universe that ended up being a bit too different without really being different. Star Control 3 was better than it's reputation, with the puppetry being the deal-breaker for the most part if you ask me, but still doesn't really hold a candle to what Star Control 2 did. This series deserves a proper re-launch, though I'm not sure anything can ever get anywhere close to the perfection (in relation to it's time) of Star Control 2 *plays the original "Now and Forever" theme*.

I'd also like to see a 3rd person RPG of Shadowrun.

Maybe just adapt the Shadowrun Returns games into one story.

Freespace. The open source project is amazing but a modern remake would be great.

and just for something that isn't "I liked it when I was twelve":

A strategy game/RPG based on The Black Company books.

The trouble with all of these is that the team making the revival of XYZ game isn't going to be the team that originally made XYZ game, it's going to be the people that are making games now, who may not have ever played the original XYZ game or even understand what it was about XYZ game that made you like it so much. So you risk ending up with something that's basically just Fortnite or whatever with a thin XYZ game veneer glued onto it.
