The Batmobile is fine and all but the whole fact of Batman blowing up tanks is just out of genre for him and I felt like it was repetitive very quickly. My opinion is that Arkham Knight is easily the worst of the four games and ended in a weird place for the franchise. The only part that I absolutely loved was the fact that it did deal with the Joker in a way that was poetic and karmic.

Then when you add on the non-lethal provisions for the tank-car, it just comes off silly.

Though, I didn't find it to be easily the worst. I just have to ask how Arkham Origins don't even creep on Knight for that title.

It's not just Batman's voice that's different in Origins: his face looks different too. A bit less square jawed, more "Commander Shepard" male-modelish. The effect is like not so much like the voice is "wrong", as it is like watching a live action sequel where a character has been recast with a different actor. In Batman's case, this feels like a step down, but the Joker surprisingly holds his own. Despite having the same "different actor" feel to his look as well as his voice, it feels like they succeeded in creating their own unique spin (off Hamill's foundation, but the point is it works just as well in a vacuum) whereas the changes to Batman's performance and looks just make him feel more "generic protagonist guy".
I liked the prerendered cutscenes in lieu of the other games. Closeups of bats in the cave, and the roaring visuals of the batwing was pretty distinct. Did have an authentic thing going for it.

The Joker in this game has a sharper and somewhat madder attitude. It worked out well for the cinematic aspect because you could tell that he wanted malicious things just in his body language.

Origins had a lot of flaws BUT I will point out that it also had the benefit of some killer DLC.

The Mister Freeze storyline adaptation was great.

I also give a very large amount of slack for the Deathstroke fight. Indeed, Origins biggest thing is that I felt it did the best for "Batman vs. Supervillains and punching supervillains." The fight against Copperhead, Bane, Deathstroke, and the joke with the electrocutioner all felt good.

I also appreciate that Origins didn't try to reinvent the wheel. Like Arkham Asylum, the plotline is a fairly "ordinary" Batman story despite being the introduction of the Joker.

"A criminal puts a big bounty on Batman's head."

It works better than the convoluted Scarecrow plot.

The setup with the assassins was really good, but that plotline feels like it kinda just unravels into the Joker's introduction.

I liked the dungeons, as they're called, but the outside environment was irritatingly bland.
