You know...I'm changing my opinion a bit on this. A video game journalist I like on YouTube pointed out how this Battlefield is advertising nonsense like steampunk cyborg arms and British soldiers with katanas, and said that this sort of thing and the weird super-fast action tanks being portrayed, makes it difficult to become immersed in the WW2 setting.
And that...I can get. It's a WW2 veneer over a power fantasy, yeah, but if it doesn't even look like WW2 then...yeah, I can see how people would be pissed, because they're no longer even trying to keep the illusion up.
I would still pay good money to play a game where I could play someone like Lyudmila Pavlichenko, but I can see how people are pissed about this game and its trailer.
