Those are good points. There is no doubt that she is as far from being saint as she can be. So much so that no wonder Joker was able to manipulate her and have her obsessed over him for so long and she was more than happy to kill people just to please him.

Yeah the spectrum I would have considered for "Feminist Icon" could range from president Whitmore jumping in a fighter jet after giving an amazing speech down to a reforming alcoholic who sacrifices himself after goofing off for most of the movie. I personally felt that Quinn edges closer to the latter of those two characters.

That does make me think, why not have Wonder Woman be feminist icon? I mean she was created to be one and she has admirable qualities like her love and compassion alongside with her being strong female character who fights for what is right and is spirit of truth.

Wonder Woman did make waves.

Harley Quinn got a lot of attention after Suicide Squad 2016, but I don't think it's necessarily more evocative than the Wonder Woman movie around the same time.

Well, they tried Wonder Woman as an ambassador to women for the U.N., but it didn't take.

Sadly... "because she's dressed skimpy!" So fucking ironic...

Professor Marston was not just ahead of his time, he'd be at the bleeding edge of feminist discourse in 2019.

I thought if anyone was a feminist icon in the Batman comics it'd be Oracle, she could kick butt and continued to after Joker paralyzed her just in a different way.
