What video games are you playing?

I've been playing the retro, WadgetEye-style adventure Whispers of a Machine and A Plague Tale: Innocence. Really enjoying both as all-around high quality games within their respective genres. I'm sure flaws could be found, but I have virtually no complaint about either, particularly with A Plague Tale. Great graphics, story, characters, good gameplay, etc.

Before that I played through Ultimate General: Civil War, as Union and then Confederates.

Now that Red Dead Redemption 2 is out for PC I've been playing that quite a bit. Lovely looking game and I love all the attention to detail, although I'm not keen on playing an outlaw, and it all gets rather depressing (although I'd encountered enough spoilers to know what's coming).

Jedi: Fallen Order actually sounds like a good single-player Star Wars game, to my amazement, so I'm thinking of checking that out.

So I played some Switch version of Dragon Quest XI. It's pretty much what I want. Old school style JRPG for modern systems but it's also as best version of DQ11. SE really favored Switch over all other consoles which makes me happy that I didn't get PS4 version when it was released.

Alright, so I'm on my third save file for Arkham Origins. I had already gotten so far on the previous session the day before and today was able to do the funnest imo speed course in the game which is the Police Department breakin. Of course I had realized that I got well within to the Dark Knight Leveling system that I had kinda forgot about when commencing the save file, so I also took some extra time before the PD department to get some of that knocked out of the way, all while listening to the new ContraPoints video. So yeah 90 minutes well spent.

Oh and in case anyone was wondering, I did beat up all the cops in the briefing room and knocked out Brandon instead of tightroping over them to avoid the commotion. And I'll do it again on Ng+ when they all have riot gear.

I'm taking a break from the Destiny 2 Emperor of Cabal dlc, stuck in THAT maze puzzle and playing some old metroidvania games, firstly; Blood Moon new game +.

Well, I got an Xbox One and Game Pass, so A LOT. Tomb Raider 2013 was pretty good, Fallout 4's alright, and Prey 2017 has been great, so far.

There's a promo running on Steam for all of the Half Life games. Until March, you can play all the games in the series for free. If you've never had the chance to swing a crowbar, it might be a good time to check it out.

I might not buy into VR hardware just to play "Alyx", but I could stand to give the venerable HL1 another spin just on this occasion.

I picked up Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for Switch and I have been learning to play some 3rd Strike. I wanted fighting game for Switch but it doesn't have many options and none of my usual favorite fighting game series (Blazblue, DOA and Tekken) so far are for Switch. 3rd Strike is from 1998 but from what I have learned it still has dedicated community that isn't toxic at all.
